Couple Saw This DIY Bookshelf Design Online, But They Had No Idea It Would Turn Out So Good

Jessica Breen was one of those people who love to décor their home. She has a very creative mind and she is always interested in adding a dash of her creativity in everything. She is very fond of decorating her home, and for this purpose she keep on searching new ideas on internet, visit different websites to find ways to make different item which can decorate her home. She is a big fan of making DIY project. She buys stuff from market in a simple shape and after that she works to make it colorful and beautiful. Her husband, Sinclair Breen, is very supportive to her in this regard. He is always ready to help her to fulfill her passion of home decorating. He is a builder as profession and it makes it much easier for him to help his wife. Both of them work together in building any new DIY project for home decoration.

This time Jessica spied a creative bookshelf design online on pinterest. She liked it so much and wanted it for her home. So, she showed it to her husband and asked him to help her and as expected, he was ready to help bring the project to life. They both were devoted to accomplish this project no matter how hard they had to work. They were ready to work hard and use their all resources to build this bookshelf.
This couple decided not to give up and they worked hard to build it and as you can see in the pictures, the result makes it worth the hard work. The beautiful and creative book shelf looks amazing on that wall.

Jessica’s dream DIY bookshelf was much more than your standard vertical design. It was a big and complicated design. It featured a series of cubes with their backs affixed to the wall and arranged in a starburst-like shape.
Telling her story to “The Daily Mail”, she told “When I showed Sinclair he almost had a heart attack, and we knew we had to try it.”
Shortly after showing Sinclair the picture, the two got to work. They were not ready to give it up no matter how hard it was. They seek help from other friends too. All of their friends were very supportive throughout the journey of making the book shelf and everyone tried to help. First of all, they measured the wall space and then handed the dimensions and inspiration image off to Jessica’s colleague, a graphic arts teacher. He helped them with the sizes of each box.
“He magically came up with the sizes of all the panels that we got cut from a manufacturer,” Jessica explains.

The panels came disassembled. They had to assemble it. This was the first challenge for them when the arduous work of the DIY really began. They had to build all those cubes. And it was not an easy task.
The project required precision, and to ensure that they would have it, Sinclair created a faux MDF wall. This allowed them to draw the boxes directly in place on the wall where they wanted to build the bookshelf. This step required extra care because they wanted to do it neatly and without making any mistake.
“We had to fix the wall onto our normal studded wall,” Jessica recalls, “and then we screwed the boxes onto the MDF wall.”

This was a long process, and the assemblage and installation took about 16 hours, but they were able to complete the work over the course of one day. They were really enjoying this work that is why time was not the problem for them.
Jessica said: “It was a huge process, but it was so worth it.”
The DIY bookshelf looks great and it has made our home more beautiful. Everyone is appreciating our effort and loved the idea.
She said “My boys love the seating area and bookshelf; the books along the bottom of the bookcase are all theirs, so they are quite happy to chill for a bit there, read and hang out.” So basically it is an area of reprieve for their young kids.
This couple is always up for the challenges and their love for home decoration knows no limits. For this project, both Jessica and Sinclair were very excited. Jessica is proud of her husband’s hard work and she loves to show it off to the world.
